Laura Zinn Fromm and Dr. Judith Rabinor are running a series of writing workshops.
Over five months, we will do readings, writing exercises, and meditations, all to bring our stories about our families to life on the page. Whether you are writing fiction or creative non-fiction, novels or short stories, memoirs or personal essays, these workshops are designed to help you tap into the experiences you lived through and the people you know, and turn these experiences into stories and these people into characters.
Before each class, you will receive a reading and a series of writing prompts. We hope that everyone will come to class having done the reading and at least one, two-page writing prompt. Writers are also encouraged to submit one, short, five-page, double-spaced piece (maximum of 1250 words, in 12-14 point type) ahead of each class for line edits and written feedback (25 pages total).
No writing sample is required.
